Mr. and Mrs. Thomas DeWitt Howard announce the engagement of their daughter, Jane Kelly Howard, to Daniel Clifton Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Nelson Miller of Clinton.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Clyde McMillin of Brandon, and Mr. and Mrs. Ishmael ‘Red’ Howard of Hattiesburg.

Miss Kelly is a 2005 graduate of Northwest Rankin High School, attended Mississippi State University, and will graduate in 2010 from Delta State University with a bachelor’s degree in sociology.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Grant Miller Sr. of Clinton, and Mr. and Mrs. Alliston Slade of Oxford.

He is a 2006 graduate of Mt. Salus Christian High School. He is a 2009 graduate of Delta State University with a bachelor’s in biology.

The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m. January 2, at Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Brandon.
