Smith combines love of fitness with community service

D.I. Smith, who serves on the board of aldermen in Ridgeland, not only aims to serve his community in this capacity, but he also calls himself a fitness advocate.

Smith encourages a healthy lifestyle and also is a big supporter of the local trail system.







Hamlin’s career changes from the pulpit to politics

When Ridgeland Alderman Wes Hamlin was in college and imagined what his future might be like, he saw himself in the pulpit, not in politics.

However, over the years, Hamlin saw a shift in his career choice, partly thanks to his circumstances and the influence of family members. He went on to become Ridgeland’s youngest alderman.

Aaron Pelch, interim athletic director and head football coach at Millsaps College, has been formally named as athletic director. Pelch will continue to serve as head football coach.
