Madison-Ridgeland Academy students were recently recognized as Scholastic Art Award recipients by The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. Since 1923, the awards have recognized some of America’s most celebrated artists and writers while they were teenagers, including: Tschabalala Self, Stephen King, Kay WalkingStick, Charles White, Joyce Carol Oates, and Andy Warhol. Gold and Silver Key works will be on view at the Mississippi Museum of Art from February 10-March 22, 2020. Honorable Mentions can be viewed through an online exhibit on the Mississippi Museum of Art website. An awards ceremony will be held Sunday, March 22 at the Mississippi Museum of Art for all students winners, teachers, and parents.
