Halliburton steps down as Madison County superintendent

Charlotte Seals has been named interim superintendent of the Madison County School District, as former superintendent, Kimber Halliburton has resigned.

According to the Madison County School District, Halliburton “plans to return to her hometown of Nashville to pursue other opportunities and take care of family issues.”

Last May, Halliburton was selected by the Madison County Board of Education to replace Dr. Ronnie McGehee.

She took over as superintendent of the school district in July 2018.

Seals has served the district as assistant superintendent, principal, and teacher before stepping up as interim superintendent.
