Opera prepares for April 27 production

Mississippi Opera finishes its 73rd season with Puccini’s “La Bohème,” April 27, at 7:30 p.m., in Thalia Mara Hall. Set in Paris in 1846-47, a group of young Bohemians struggle to make ends meet. During the cold winter, a torrid romance is kindled between the poet Rodolfo and the beautiful seamstress Mimi, but love is not the only thing lurking in the city; tragedy and sadness await them all.
