Northside students start school year off with campus updates; MRA builds new middle school

Students at Madison Ridgeland Academy (MRA) this year are enjoying a new middle school and cafeteria, following the completion of two major construction projects there this summer.




Developing workforce

Scott Waller, CEO and President of MEC, recently spoke to the Rotary Club of North Jackson. Waller discussed the workforce development in Mississippi and the need to improve it. The Rotary Club of North Jackson meets at noon on Tuesday’s at the Rickhouse in Jackson.

Two new fellows

Two members of the Madison-Ridgeland Rotary Club were recently inducted as Paul Harris Fellows in the international civic organization. The Harris Fellowship is bestowed upon members who attain a certain level of giving to the Rotary Foundation.


Improvements

Christy Campbell, marketing and business development manager for Northpark Mall, was the guest speaker at a recent meeting of the Madison-Ridgeland Rotary Club. Campbell and colleague Seth Reeks, marketing coordinator for the mall, discussed improvements and renovations underway at the 34-year-old retail center.
