Ribbon cutting

Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new location at 114 Burney Drive off of Flowood Drive in Flowood. Chapel speaker

Emmy award-winning painter Frank Ordaz was a recent chapel speaker at Jackson Academy. He has worked as a matte painter for films such as “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan,” and “E.T.



Support mission

TIPs

The Duke University Talent Identification Program (TIP) identifies seventh-graders in 16 states in the Southeast, Midwest and Southwest who have scored at the 95th percentile or above on a grade-level achievement test. These students are invited to participate in the Duke TIP 7th Grade Talent Search and take either the SAT or the ACT.


Excel club

The New Summit Excel Club are a group of high school students dedicated to improving their school, community and country through volunteerism. Excel Club focuses on four programs of service: Americanism, youth activities, community service and the prevention of child abuse.
