Betty M. McNair

Funeral services were held in the chapel of Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland for Betty M. McNair of Ridgeland.

Betty McNair, 84, died July 8, after a lengthy illness.


Marie Morris Alfonso

 Services were held July 3 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Gulfport, for Marie Morris Alfonso. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery with military honors by the U.S. Army.

Arty Finkelberg, senior vice president - investments, of Raymond James and Associates, was recently named to the 2017 edition of Financial Times Top 400 Financial Advisors. Also honored by Financial Times in 2015, he was one of only two financial advisors from Mississippi recognized this year.


Mark Chinn

Mark A. Chinn with Chinn & Associates, PC, was selected for inclusion in the forthcoming Top Attorneys of North America 2017 TOP 100 edition of the Who’s Who Directories. Chinn received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Iowa State University and his J.D. from the University of Mississippi.









Miss Veazey and Rees to exchange wedding vows August 26 at Livingston

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Day Veazey Jr. announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Garner Veazey, to Charles Phillip Rees, son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Henry Rees of Baton Rouge.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Garner Watkins Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Day Veazey, all of Madison.
