Reservoir live feed

Northsiders who enjoy fishing at the reservoir and Pearl River will soon have access to a live camera to monitor the condition of the river. “A spillway fishing group asked why we don’t have cameras on the spillway to show the condition of the river,” John Sigman, Pearl River Valley Water Supply District (PRV) general manager, said.

Insurance possibilities

Proceeds from an insurance policy could be used to help the city of Jackson relocate or reopen the Charles Tisdale Library. Last week, the city was looking into a policy it had on the Tisdale Library, which closed earlier this year because of water damage and black mold.

Suspect arrested

Jackson police have arrested a man they say was involved in two recent home invasions on the Northside. However, no further details of the arrest were available at press time.

Squirrel hunting

Reservoir officials are considering the possibility of allowing squirrel hunting within the reservoir district. The hunting would be geared toward youth,

Parking regulations

Reservoir officials are in the process of unifying parking regulations throughout the district. The reservoir area in Rankin County south of Arbor Landing is in the jurisdiction of the county.
