Mera Harriet Hall, 56, died September 10, 2021, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, Ms. Mera was a native of Jackson, Mississippi, and a resident of Clinton, Mississippi. A graduate of Clinton High School and Baylor University in Waco, Texas, Mera taught in the public schools of Fort Worth as well as a music academy also located in Fort Worth. Mera also taught in various junior colleges in the Fort Worth area and at Southwest Community College in Summit, Mississippi.
Mera played violin in the Waco Symphony Orchestra, The Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, and many regional orchestras. She also played regularly for churches, weddings, and other events.
She is a former member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi, and First Baptist Church in Clinton, Mississippi.
Mera is predeceased by her father, Dan Carter Hall.
She is survived by her mother, Mera Cannon Hall of Madison, Mississippi, and her four siblings, Randall Carter Hall (Tracy) of Fate, Texas, Daniel Cannon Hall (Joyce) of Canton, Mississippi, Verby Hall Nash (Jeff) of Fort Worth, Texas and Rowland Chapman Hall (Jennifer) of Canton, Mississippi. Survivors also include an aunt, Sara Cannon Wood of Franklin, NC, four nieces, four nephews, one great-nephew, and several cousins.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 17, 2021, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wiggins, Mississippi.
Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Broadmoor Baptist Church 1531 Highland Colony Parkway Madison, Mississippi
