Board members of the Friends of the USA IBC are busy making plans for the annual International Ballet Association Membership Party to take place on Oct. 19 from 5-7 p.m. at Ecoshed at 133 Commerce Park Drive in Jackson. The public is invited to attend the annual International Ballet Association Membership Party, hosted by the Friends of the USA International Ballet Competition (USA IBC). The party will be held at The Ecoshed, a mixed-use incubator space featuring an indoor/outdoor event area, located at 133 Commerce Park Drive, Jackson, MS. This exciting evening features live music, delicious hors d’oeuvres, and beverages. Covid precautions will be in place, and we encourage guests to wear their masks when indoors. The Friends provide support to the USA IBC financially through fundraisers and by volunteering. The Friends organization also strives to increase awareness of the USA IBC, provide an outlet for community involvement, and is the benefactor of CityDance, an outreach program for deserving young dancers to experience the merits of ballet. CItyDance is a free after-school dance program for JPS students. The Friends provide dancewear and leotards to the students at no cost to them.
