The Jackson Regent’s Council of the Mississippi State Society Daughters of the American Revolution and other DAR chapters served as volunteers for the dedication of Veterans Memory Park in Ridgeland, located behind the Ridgeland City Hall. Members, with the help of some Children of the American Revolution, handed out American flags, flag codes, and toy soldiers. Vietnam veterans in attendance were given 50th anniversary bronze pins thanking them for their service.
