The Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi will host its First Virtual Bacchus Ball. The Virtual Silent Auction will be open from Friday, April 9 at 12 p.m. - April 15 and the Premier Silent Auction from 7 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 15. Items include artwork, jewelry, sports memorabilia and amazing deals from the Jackson area and beyond as part of the silent and Premier Silent auctions. The Premier Silent Auction features artwork Bob Tompkins, Ann Seale, and Bewey Bowden. It also includes jewelry from Lee Michaels’ Fine Jewelry and Albriton’s; and ones choice of destination in an Ultimate Travel package. Money raised at the Bacchus Ball will support Camp Kandu, the Diabetes Foundation’s twice yearly camp for children with diabetes and their families, as well as provide emergency medical assistance. “With the increase in the number of children diagnosed with diabetes and the number of patients needing emergency medical assistance,” said Ball Chairmen Ann and Ben Seale, “it is vitally important that every dollar raised at Bacchus Ball stays in Mississippi to help our families.” The Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi (DFM) is the state’s only nonprofit health organization that provides diabetes information, patient services and advocacy, and its mission is to provide hope through programs, services and research to the 373,000 Mississippians with diabetes. Planning the fundraiser are (from left) Irena McClain, Mary Fortune, Ann Seale, Susan Murphy, Brian Rippee, Marcie Robertson, Mallie Earl, Shannon Warnock
