The marriage of Katherine Anne Kraft, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Kraft of Richmond to David Alan Ross, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ross of Brandon, took place on October 10, at Centenary United Methodist Church in Richmond. The Very Rev. Dr. Matthew Bates officiated.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless silk gown, embossed with magnolia flowers, a nod to the bridegroom’s home state. She carried a bouquet of white roses and white anemones. Following the ceremony, the families enjoyed dinner and wedding cake. They shared toasts and stories throughout the evening.
The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Kraft of Raleigh, N.C. and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Hageman of Gainesville, Va. The bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. Edwin Ross and the late Mr. Ross of Eupora, and Mrs. Olen Ray of Brandon and the late Mr. Ray of Eupora.
David Kraft of Richmond and Ryan Kraft of Norfolk served as their sister’s attendants. Andy Ross of Memphis and Steven Ross of Brooklyn, N.Y. were their brother’s groomsmen.
The bride is a graduate of Henrico High School and the University of Virginia. She earned her master’s in business administration from George Mason University. She currently works for the U.S. Department of State.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Jackson Prep and the University of South Carolina. He earned his master’s in economics from the University of Mississippi. He currently works as a freelance director and media consultant.
After a wedding at the Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Va., they returned to their home in Washington, D.C.
