N’siders make debut in greenwood

The Southern Debutante Assembly held its 2018 Presentation and White and Gold Ball December 28 at the Greenwood Country Club. Nine Northsiders were among the 33 debutantes presented.

The honorees were presented before a massive arrangement of white gladioli, porcelana roses, white dendrobium orchids, white stargazer lilies, white Fuji mums, antique hydrangeas, gypsophila, silver dollar eucalyptus and areca palm fronds displayed in a ceramic urn atop a fluted gilt pedestal.

Northsider debutantes included Elizabeth Russell Bowman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Russell Bowman. She was presented by her father and escorted by her cousin, Jackson Carr Holiman;

Anne Darrington Brock is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Donald Brock Jr. of Greenwood. Presented by her father, Miss Brock was escorted by her brother, William Dent Brock. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. William T. Burham Jr. of Jackson;

Amanda Claire Bush, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Templeton Bush was presented by her father and escorted by her brother, Jacob Miller Bush;

Kathryn Rae Butler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Weaver Butler Jr. was presented by her father and escorted by her brother, Matthew Brent Butler;

Kendall Glenda Causey is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kendall Causey Jr. Presented by her father, Miss Causey was escorted by her brother, Michael Monte Causey;

Elizabeth Mitchell Cossar is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Payne Cossar III. Presented by her father, Miss Cossar was escorted by her brother, George Payne Cossar IV;

Callie Frances Hall, daughter of Mrs. Stanton Allen Hall and the late Mr. Hall, was presented by her godfather Charles Neal Ellis and escorted by Robert Leon Lewis III;

Courtney Adele Johnson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stephen Johnson. She was presented by her father and escorted by her brother, Garrett Stephen Johnson;

Elizabeth Blair Stockett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Carter Nicholas Stockett III, was presented by her father and escorted by her brother, Robert Carter Nicholas Stockett IV.

Pages to the debutantes from the Northside included Allison Chambers Currie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Dale Currie Jr.; Katherine Elisabeth Frazer, daughter of Mr.. and Mrs. Preston Bennett Frazer; Patricia Bailey Swain, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Parker Swain.
