Miss Burge and Knight to exchange wedding vows January 18 in Birmingham

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tucker Burge of Birmingham announce the engagement of their daughter, Margaret Morrow Burge, to John O’Connell Knight, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Terrell Knight Jr. of Jackson.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Ernest Waddell of New Orleans and Brookhaven, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Otis Burge of Birmingham.

Dr. Knight is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Edward O’Connell of Prentiss and Dorothy Tucker Cole of Jackson and Robert Terrell Knight of Baton Rouge.

Miss Burge, recently of Washington, D.C., is a graduate of the University of Mississippi where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority.  She was presented at the Ball of Roses in Birmingham.  She is associated with the Commerce Club in Atlanta. 

Dr. Knight is a graduate of the University of Mississippi where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine.  He completed his residency at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and is currently pursuing a fellowship in endocrinology at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

The couple wilL exchange vows January 18 in Birmingham.
