Mr. and Mrs. Thaddeus Scott Irby of Madison announce the engagement of their daughter, Taylor Amanda Irby, to Ray Graham Collins Jr, the son of Collins is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Collins of New Albany.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Philip Erskine Irby Jr., the late Janie Lou Campbell, and the late Mr. Roger Lee Campbell Sr., all of Jackson. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rupert Collins of New Albany, and late Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Neal Watkins of Jackson, Tenn.
Miss Irby is a 2011 graduate of Jackson Academy and was graduated from Ole Miss in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. While at Ole Miss, she lettered in track and field as a high jumper for the Rebels, and was a three time member of the Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll. She was also a member of Kappa Delta sorority.
She also was graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Health Related Professions with a doctorate of physical therapy in May 2019. She is working as an orthopedic physical therapist in Plano.
Collins is a 2011 graduate of New Albany High School and was graduated with a bachelor’s of accounting from Ole Miss in 2016. He was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity and the Ole Miss Wakeboard Team. He earned a master’s of accounting in 2017 from The Patterson School of Accounting at Ole Miss. He now is associated with Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP in Plano as a tax accountant.
The couple will exchange vows on June 27 in Oxford. They will make their home in Frisco, Texas.
