Billy Ray Sigh of Jackson and Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Henderson of Canton announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Denise Sigh, to Jacob Alexander Wooten, son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Wooten of Madison, and Mr. and Mrs. Creede Mansell of Canton.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ginger Sigh Thornton of Madison, Clara Henderson of Pelahatchie, the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Blake of Memphis, the late William R. Sigh, and the late Dennis Thornton of Canton.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. R.J. Wooten of The Villages in Florida, Caroline Willoughby and the late Will Willoughby of Crestview, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. John David Smith of Jackson and Sandra Mansell and the late William “Wicky” M. Mansell of Canton.
Miss Sigh is a 2013 graduate of Madison Central High School. She was graduated from Mississippi University for Women with a degree in nursing. She also attended Mississippi State University where she was a member of the Chi Omega sorority. Miss Sigh currently is a nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care unit at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Wooten is a 2014 graduate of Madison Central High School. He was graduated from Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. He is currently associated with Total Healthcare Solutions as a medical sales representative.
The couple will exchange vows the evening of August 29 at First Baptist Church of Madison, with a reception to follow at Sterling Hall in Canton.
