Miss Watkins and House planning February 1 wedding at Galloway Methodist

Mr. and Mrs. Mickey Wayne Watkins announce the engagement of their daughter, Lori Elizabeth Watkins, to Thomas Bryant House, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Bernard House.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jennie Watkins, and the late Virgil Watkins of Meridian, and the late Dr. and Mrs. Loree Roy Young of Sulphur, La.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Billy Thomas Armstrong of Morton, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Woodrow House of Holly Springs.

Miss Watkins is a 2008 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School. In 2012, she was graduated cum laude from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. At Ole Miss, she was a member of Delta Gamma sorority where she served in various leadership positions. She is currently in her sixth year of teaching fourth grade at Madison Ridgeland Academy.

House is a 2009 graduate of Madison Central High School. He was graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. While at Ole Miss, he was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity and worked for Ole Miss Athletics. He completed his masters of business administration at Mississippi College, graduating in 2017. He is currently an underwriter with Sterling Surplus Underwriters in Gluckstadt.

The couple will be married February 1 at Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church with a reception to follow at The Westin.
