The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA) has begun performing pavement rehabilitation of International Drive at Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN). Construction may cause temporary inconvenience to passengers and employees due to the comprehensive scope of the project. The work is scheduled to be complete by September 21, but weather could affect the date.
International Drive will be resurfaced and/or reconstructed with asphalt. This roadway will be partially closed to vehicular traffic during construction work hours to ensure safety. Partial lane closures are expected to last no more than 12 hours at a time.
Flagmen will be on-site to facilitate the directing of traffic. The anticipated work hours will be between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the exception of the lanes located between the JAN Terminal Building and the Parking Garage.
