LOHO Annual Meeting Jan. 10

LOHO residents will have a chance to sound off on the neighborhood association’s new bylaws and budget at a meeting this week.

LOHO’s first official “neighborhood-wide annual meeting” is slated for Thursday, January 10, at the River Hills Club. The meeting will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m., according to a release.

Leaders in the community have been working for months to create a new neighborhood association, in large part, to address security needs and help increase property values.

At the meeting, the board will present a list of bylaws as well as two proposed budgets.

The bylaws were crafted after “months of board discussion and research,” with board members looking at other Jackson homeowner groups, as well as best practices of national professional firms and other HOA organizations, an e-mail from the neighborhood states.

LOHO north to south from Meadowbrook Road to Eastover Drive and west to east from the I-55 North frontage road to Ridgewood Road. In all, the area takes in about 220 residences.

Last year, the Sun reported that LOHO’s initial board members include John Morgan Hughes, Scott Wilson, John Lange, Elizabeth Dorroh, Anthony Sherman, David Minton, Patrick Case, Rob Peeples and Sara Gleason.
