A Mamma Mia-themed senior party was recently held for Isabelle Dyess, a senior at Jackson Prep. Dyess is the daughter of Eric and Lisa Dyess of Jackson. Hosts and hostesses of the event included Sandra Giddens, Lynda Balfour, Angie Williams, Sarah Reily, Ellen Johnson, Anna Oliver, and Regan Painter. Lisa Dyess, an event planner and interior designer, came up with the theme and decorations of the event. The décor was more of a set design paying tribute to the movie, Mamma Mia. With stucco walls, stain-glassed windows, dressing table and a chapel – for photo ops and a surprise performance featuring “Donna and the Dynamos.” Props included a Money Money Money Machine where the guests could run and grab money when the Abba song was played by the DJ. The event also included the throwing of the bouquet filled with gift cards and a wedding cake. In movie fashion, the honoree’s best friends invaded the party with pirate masks to surprise the guests.
