Jacqueline Brooke Banks and Benjamin Wesley Carroll were united in marriage at 6 p.m. on August 1 at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Jackson.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Banks of Madison. The bridegroom is the son of the Reverend and Mrs. David Carroll of Madison.
The ceremony was officiated by the bridegroom’s father. The homily was delivered by the Reverend Chadwick Bowen. Nuptial music was presented by Babcock Quartet Strings.The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a silk Mikado gown with floral capped sleeves and scooped neckline, along with an edge-laced cathedral length veil.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet of roses, peonies, ranunculus, anemone, lisianthus, Veronica, Italian ruscus, eucalyptus, and hanging amaranthus, tied with double-faced ivory satin ribbon and lace from her grandmother’s bouquet.
Maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Sarah Banks of Madison, and matron of honor was Jennifer Foreman of Homewood. Bridesmaids were Shradha Ahuja of Madison;, Kathryn Barham of Jackson; Melissa Walker of Hattiesburg; Ashley Lancaster of Jackson, Mo.; Marielle Kulbok of Cumming, Ga.: and Mary Evelyn Carroll of Birmingham. They carried hand-tied bouquets of peonies, lisianthus, Veronica, and anemone.
The bridegroom’s best man was John Caleb Grenn of Jackson. Groomsmen were Benjamin Barham and Luke Drake of Jackson; Chadwick Bowen of Winona; Robert Carey of New Orleans; Clark Chapman IV of Durham; Charles Rowe of Birmingham; and John Wright of Columbia, S.C.
Following the ceremony, the couple were honored with a reception hosted by the bride’s parents at Fairview Inn. The music was provided by Mo’ Money. On the eve of the wedding, the bridegroom’s family hosted a wedding rehearsal dinner at the Bill Waller Craft Center with entertainment by the Vernon Brothers.
The day before the wedding a bridesmaid luncheon was hosted by the mother at the Fairview Inn.
Following a wedding trip to Yosemite National Park and Carmel-by-the-Sea, the couple is at home in Jackson.
