Mr. and Mrs. Timothy McNair of Madison announce the engagement of their daughter Mary Madison McNair to Austin Brown Scott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Scott of Ridgeland.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Jim Futral of Ridgeland and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles McNair of Ridgeland. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlton Alexander Anderson, and the late Dr. and Mrs. Jack Brown Scott, all of Jackson.
Miss McNair is a 2014 graduate of Jackson Academy and a 2018 graduate of the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. While at Ole Miss, she was a member of Chi Omega Fraternity. She just completed her masters in dyslexia therapy at Mississippi College. She is associated with Jackson Academy as the dyslexia interventionist.
Scott was graduated from Madison Ridgeland Academy in 2015. Prior to graduation, he achieved the Eagle Scout rank from the Boy Scouts of America. He attended Holmes Community College where he was a member of the men’s soccer team. He was graduated from Mississippi State University in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies. He is associated with with the Mississippi Department of Employment Security.
The couple will exchange vows December 19 at the First Baptist Church in Jackson with a reception to follow at the Fairview Inn.
