Miss Fordice and Payne to exchange wedding vows February 23 in Vicksburg service

Mr. and Mrs. Hunter Lloyd Fordice of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Louise Fordice, to Thomas Bruce Payne III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bruce Payne Jr. of Madison. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Governor of Mississippi, the Hon. Daniel Kirkwood Fordice Jr.

GOLF WINNERS

Team Reunion is the recent winner of the 2019 Gulf States PGA Caribbean Beach Pro-Am. Team members Assistant Golf Professional Blake Hatfield, Doug Garner, Justin Blackwell, and Jared Kobs won the three-day tournament by one shot. The event was held at the Casa de Campo Resort in the Dominican Republic.


Walker Barnes

Walker Barnes received the Scott Branning scholarship in recognition of his care for others and tenacity in overcoming challenges. The scholarship was established in honor of its namesake, former Jackson Academy  coach and teacher Scott Branning.


King of the court

Doug Morgan was the big winner of the August River Hills King of the Court session, getting a $180 paycheck for his tennis doubles prowess. Other winners sharing the $1,000 total purse are (from left) Jack McCants, Nick Morgan, Miles Marcus, Doug Morgan, Bob Crumpton, Stephen Stacks.
