Christian Pinnen and Charles Weeks will discuss “From Borrowed Land to State: Colonial Mississippi,” August 4 from noon to 1 p.m. during History is Lunch. History is Lunch, a weekly lecture series of the Mississippi Department of Archives and History (MDAH), explores different aspects of the state's past. The hour-long programs are held in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium of the Museum of Mississippi History and Mississippi Civil Rights Museum building in Jackson. Chairs will be safely spaced within the auditorium, and mask use is encouraged. MDAH will provide free coffee and water, but no food during the first month. MDAH will continue to livestream the programs on Facebook.
