Bobby Calhoun

Bobby Calhoun, 85, of Madison, passed away October 24 at Mississippi Baptist Hospital.

He was born October 30, 1931, son of the late Harold W. Calhoun and the late Floy Gulledge Calhoun. He is a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean Conflict in the 31st Infantry “Dixie” Division. For the past 27 years Calhoun has been in business, as a partner, with his son at Dearing Addressing and Mailing Service.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Wanda Calhoun; daughter Angela Lee Hames (J.W.); son Lindy H. Calhoun (Lisa); and grandchildren Jeff W. Hames Jr. and Jonas Tucker Calhoun.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara G. Vickers.

Services were held at Natchez Trace Funeral Home October 27.

Interment followed in Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Aaron Pelch, interim athletic director and head football coach at Millsaps College, has been formally named as athletic director. Pelch will continue to serve as head football coach.
