Day in the Country

The Chapel of the Cross will host the 40th Annual Day in the Country festival  Saturday, October 5 on the historic Chapel grounds at 674 Mannsdale Rd., Madison, Mississippi. The day kicks off at 8 a.m. with the Day in the Country 5K run and walk. The festival follows from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.  The day features live music, food, a silent auction, a Maker’s Market with artisans and handmade crafts, Kids’ Country activities including face painting and a petting zoo, the Chapel Attic rummage sale, beer and wine tastings, and more. The Country Store for Chapel will be open and offer baked bread, assorted cakes and pies, homemade jellies and spreads, the ought-to-be-sacrilegious Bottled Hell pepper sauce, and the 63-Egg Cake.
