Staffers and volunteers for Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Mississippi are planning an inaugural fund-raiser scheduled for May 5 at The Fairview Inn. The event is themed around the Kentucky Derby and titled “Derby Day: Racing for Equality.”  The party will feature a silent auction, a “most derby-spirited outfit” contest and live music from the band Heart Society. This derby event is designed to support the work done by HRC Mississippi which seeks to promote equality across the state. Available for purchase now at, tickets cost $50 in advance and $60 at the door.
