Stickfire

Reunion Golf and Country Club hosted its annual Stickfire Golf Tournament recently with a record 108 players competing. The tournament is played every year in the name of the late Stan Hall, who was a member at Reunion when he suddenly passed away at his home January 16, 2016. Hall, along with the club’s first pro created the Stickfire tournament as a way to kick off the golf season each year. This was the 13th annual event and provides a full field each year. Customary each year are venison sliders with jambalaya and venison chili with all the fixings on day two of the event. Hall would harvest deer each winter and that venison was used. Now his daughter Callie carries on that tradition. Tournament winners were (from left) Justin Lowe, PGA Head Golf Pro Tim Basel and Ryan Kinder.
