Summer reading

St. Andrew’s Episcopal School students are challenged every year to read 50 books the summer before starting 1st grade. These books can be read independently, with someone, or can be read to the student. The goal of this challenge is to keep kids reading over the summer and to instill a love of literacy and an interest in reading. Each year, on the first week of 1st grade, the students who successfully completed the challenge are awarded a certificate and a book of their own.
