Kehtel and McCann exchange wedding vows May 27 in outdoor service

Crystal Nicole Kehtel and Austin Henry McCann exchanged vows May 27 in an outdoor ceremony at Bridlewood of Madison’s outdoor chapel. The ceremony was officiated by Dr. Ed Garret. Mark McCann, the bridegroom’s uncle, Mark Holdiness, and Tabitha Newton presented the music.

The couple grew up in Madison, both attending Madison Central High School.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Mircell Kehtel Jr. of Madison. She is the granddaughter of the late David Mircell Kehtel Sr., the late Dorothy Frances Kehtel, Anita Hill Kehtel-Thomas, and the late Julian K. Thomas Sr., and the late Thomas Elon Stubbs and the late Dorothy Jean Stubbs all of Jackson.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Daron McCann of Madison. He is the grandson of the late Lanny Roy McCann and Grace Holt McCann of Vicksburg, and the late Paul Henry Rogers and Linda Joyce Rogers-Akin of Hallsville Texas.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory, mermaid designer gown with lace and crystal beaded detail, cap sleeves that formed a deep V neckline, an open laced back, scalloped hemline, and a sheer cathedral train. To complete her ensemble, she wore a full-length single layer designer veil. She carried a hand-cut bouquet of white and peach roses, white hydrangeas, pink peonies, succulents, and greenery wrapped and pinned with her grandmother’s prayer charm.

Maid of honor was Hannah Hope Holloway. Bridesmaids were Mary Austin Reeves Barber, Olivia Nicole Parks and Carly Jan Yasses.

Best man was Benjamin Drew Broyles. Groomsmen were Justin Tyler Atkinson, Dane Anthony Gecina and Stephen Paul Solomon. Ushers were Benjamin Edward House and Phillip Edward Correro, the bridegroom’s brother-in-law.

Flower girl was Lane Katherine Correro, the bridegroom’s niece, and the ring bearer was William Jason Derbort, the bridegroom’s nephew.

Following the wedding ceremony, the parents of the bride hosted a reception with dinner and dancing in the barn at Bridlewood.

On the eve of the wedding, the McCann family hosted the wedding party and family with a rehearsal dinner at Table 100. The day before the wedding, a bridesmaids’ luncheon was hosted by the Kehtel family at the Manship Woodfire Kitchen.

After a wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple is at home in Madison. The bride is marketing and event coordinator with Innovate Mississippi, and the bridegroom is a project chemist with Ergon Refining.
