Miss Adams and Dickens to exchange wedding vows March 23 in Madison

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thomas Adams of Edmond, Okla. announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Marie Adams, to Nathaniel Brantley Dickens, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Brantley Dickens of Madison.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thomas Adams  of Dayton, Ohio, Anne C. Gordon of Springfield, Ill. and the late Gordon E. Brown. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Ide and Estelle Dickens of Carthage, Barbara Mitchell of St. Louis, and the late Arthur Mitchell.

Miss Adams is a 2013 honors graduate of Edmond Santa Fe High School and was graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in managerial finance. At Ole Miss she was a member of Phi Mu fraternity, where she held several leadership positions. She is a commercial lines account manager for Fisher Brown Bottrell Insurance in Jackson.

Dickens is a 2012 graduate of Canton Academy and a member of both the East Central Community College baseball team and the Mississippi Delta Community College baseball team. Dickens was graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in history. He continued on to Mississippi State University to earn his master’s in clinical mental health counseling in 2018. He is a therapist at Millcreek of Magee adolescent treatment facility.

The couple will be married March 23 at Bridlewood of Madison with the reception to follow.




Two area high schools have started what will be an annual competition to raise money for waterfowl conservation.
