Miss Arnold, Duddleston to exchange wedding vows in May 4 ceremony

Mr. and Mrs. Hunter Thomas Arnold of Madison announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Ruth Arnold, to Daniel Hartley Duddleston, son of Dr. and Mrs. David Newman Duddleston of Madison.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hugh Bufkin of Madison, and Mrs. John Robert Arnold and the late Mr. Arnold of Starkville.

Miss Arnold is a 2009 honor graduate of Jackson Academy. In 2013, she was graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi State University with a degree in biomedical engineering. At MSU, she was active in the Alumni Delegates, the Shackouls Honor College, and her sorority Delta Gamma. She was also elected senior homecoming maid. In 2018, Miss Arnold received her medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She is in residency in ophthalmology at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Hartley and the late Martha Jane Hartley of Tupelo, and Lee Duddleston and the late Dixie Hervey Duddleston of Jackson.

Duddleston is a 2010 graduate of St. Andrew’s Episcopal School and a 2014 cum laude graduate of the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College at the University of Mississippi where he earned a degree in physics. At Ole Miss he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity where he served as treasurer. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2018. He is completing an internal medicine residency  at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.


The couple will be married May 4 at Bridlewood of Madison.
