Miss Bailey and Wall to exchange wedding vows April 28 in Tupelo

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Benton Bailey of Tupelo and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Harley Streeter of Brandon announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Leigh Bailey, to Carlton Randall Wall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Bernard Wall of Jackson.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Billye Oswalt Bailey and the late Jay B. Bailey of Tupelo, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hunter Algene Gardner of Brandon. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Duell Wall of Calhoun City, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Hix Sorrells of Jackson.

Miss Bailey is a 2002 graduate of Tupelo High School, where she was active in the theatre department. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Mississippi and is associated with the library at Itawamba Community College.

Wall is a 2001 graduate of Saint Andrew’s Episcopal School in Jackson and spent summers at Strong River Camp and Farm in Pinola. He was graduated from Emory University with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and from the University of Mississippi with a Master of Business Administration. He is a compliance specialist with BancorpSouth.

The couple will exchange vows April 28 at All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Tupelo with a reception following at Goodlett Manor.



Robert H. Watson will receive Mississippi College’s Award of Excellence at the university’s 2018 homecoming.

Activities include an October 26 awards banquet at Anderson Hall.
