Miss Bancroft and Trammell to exchange wedding vows in December 29 service

Mr. and Mrs. Lou Newman of Meridian and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Bancroft of Madison announce the engagement of their daughter, Whitney Sloan Bancroft to Timothy (Ty) Joel Trammell Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Tim Trammell of Madison.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marty Davidson, Martha Bancroft and the late E.C. Bancroft of Meridian. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Lettie Terrell of Yazoo City and the late Marvin Terrell, Maudine Trammell of Bentonia and the late Frank Trammell.

Miss Bancroft is a graduate of Ridgeland High School and Mississippi State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2015. At MSU, she was a member of Phi Mu sorority and National Honor Society. In 2018, she was graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a master’s in public health. She will complete her master’s in physician assistant studies in December 2019. At UAB, she is a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and Golden Key Honor Society.

Trammell is a 2010 graduate of Madison Ridgeland Academy. He attended Mississippi State where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and was graduated with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2015. Currently he is a travel nurse.


The couple will exchange wedding vows December 29 at Bridlewood of Madison.
