Miss Berry and Lyons will exchange wedding vows October 5 in Natchez

Mr. and Mrs. Brian Gibson Berry of Centreville announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie Camille Berry, to Jared Hunter Lyons, son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Michael Lyons of Brandon.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Sam Schwartz Jr. and the late Mr. Schwartz of Indianola, and Mrs. William Gibson Berry and the late Mr. Berry of Gulfport. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. Velma Coleman and the late Doyle Coleman of Huntsville, Texas, and Mrs. Jean Lyons and the late Mr. Lyons of Houston.

Miss Berry is a 2012 graduate of Centreville Academy and was graduated from Mississippi State University in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. While at State, she was a member of Delta Gamma sorority, where she served as social standards and president. She also served as a student association senator, football recruiter, and played on the club basketball team.

Miss Berry was graduated summa cum laude with a Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2019. At Ole Miss, she was a member of the Mississippi Law Journal and Dean’s Leadership Council. Miss Berry will begin in the fall as an associate at Watkins and Eager, PLLC.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2010 graduate of Northwest Rankin High School. He attended Hinds Community College where he played tennis and was graduated from Mississippi State University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and exercise science. While at MSU, Lyons was involved in the Baptist Student Union and spent summers working at Twin Lakes Camp. He is a clinical specialist for Boston Scientific in Jackson.

The couple will exchange vows at Longwood Plantation in Natchez on October 5.
