Miss Bobo and Aldridge to exchange wedding vows December 31 in Oxford service

Mr. and Mrs. Joel Kirkpatrick Bobo announce the engagement of their daughter, Margaret Lee Bobo, to William Joseph Aldridge Jr. of Memphis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jan Timothy Chilton of Tiburon, Calif. and William Joseph Aldridge of Memphis.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Lee Joyner Jr. of Jackson and Mrs. Robert Eager Bobo Jr. and the late Mr. Bobo of Clarksdale.

Miss Bobo is a 2005 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School and a 2009 cum laude graduate of the University of Mississippi where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She is associated with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Nilda Valdes Ortiz and the late Dr. Rene Angel Ortiz of Columbia, S.C., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Graves Aldridge of Carrollton, Ga. Aldridge is a 2007 graduate of Memphis University School and received his undergraduate degree from Pepperdine University in 2010. He also earned his master’s of business administration from Pepperdine in 2012 and his master’s of accounting from the University of Memphis in 2018. He is associated with Jernigan Capital in Memphis.

The couple will be married on December 31 in Oxford.



The University of Mississippi recently released the Fall 2018 Dean’s List. Students must earn a semester GPA of 3.50 to 3.74 to be listed on the Dean’s List.
