Miss Farris and Moore planning April 6 wedding at Crossgates United Methodist

Mr. and Mrs. David Earl Farris of Brandon announce the engagement of their daughter, Hannah Rebecca Farris, to James Sanford Love Moore, son of Dr. and Mrs. James Love Moore Jr. of Jackson.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alton B. Farris Sr. of Morton, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bethel David Foster of Memphis.

Miss Farris is a 2010 graduate of Brandon High School and a 2014 cum laude graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in clinical exercise physiology. At State, she was a member of Phi Mu sorority, where she served the position of recruitment chairman. She was also an alumni delegate representative and a Roadrunner student recruiter. Miss Farris is a 2018 graduate from the University of Mississippi Medical Center with a doctor of physical therapy degree. She is a physical therapist at Elite Physical Therapy in Brandon.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Thompson Cossar of Madison, and Mr. and Mrs. James Love Moore of Jackson. He is a 2010 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School. He attended the University of Mississippi and was graduated with a bachelor’s degree in risk management and insurance in 2014. At Ole Miss, Moore was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and served the position of rush chair. He is the president of the Greater Jackson Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation. He is associated with Southgroup Insurance Services as a producer.


The couple will exchange vows April 6 at Crossgates United Methodist Church, with a reception to follow at the Country Club of Jackson.
