Miss Fordice and Payne to exchange wedding vows February 23 in Vicksburg service

Mr. and Mrs. Hunter Lloyd Fordice of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Louise Fordice, to Thomas Bruce Payne III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bruce Payne Jr. of Madison. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Governor of Mississippi, the Hon. Daniel Kirkwood Fordice Jr. and the late First Lady of Mississippi Patricia Owens Fordice, and the late Major General and Mrs. William Edgar Read. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Towns Fairly Jr. of Hattiesburg and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bruce Payne of Jackson.

Miss Fordice is a 2009 graduate of Saint Aloysius High School in Vicksburg. She was graduated in 2013 from the University of Mississippi earning a bachelor’s degree in marketing communications and an emphasis in public relations. At Ole Miss, she was a member of the Chi Omega sorority. She was presented by the 2010 Debutante Club of Mississippi. Miss Fordice serves as contract administrator and marketing coordinator for Century Construction Group in Ridgeland.

Payne is a 2007 graduate of Jackson Academy and a 2012 graduate of Mississippi State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in management of construction and land development as well as insurance, risk management and financial planning. At State, he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He is a broker associate with Payne Realty in Madison. In 2018, he received his Certified Commercial Investment Member designation and served as president of the Mississippi Commercial Association of Realtors.

 

The couple will exchange vows February 23 at Crawford Street United Methodist Church with a reception following at the B’nai B’rith Literary Association in Vicksburg.
