Miss Hewitt and Mounger planning March 9 wedding in Oxford ceremony

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Glenn Hewitt of Birmingham announce the engagement of their daughter, Margaret Lloyd Hewitt, to William Malcolm Mounger III, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Malcolm Mounger II of Jackson.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Peyton Henry of Oxford, Betty Jo Lloyd Hewitt of McComb, and the late William Clifton Hewitt. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Callie Swango Brandon and Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Brandon, all of West Helena, Ark., and Mr. and Mrs. William Donald Mounger of Jackson.

Miss Hewitt is a 2014 graduate of Briarwood Christian School and was graduated with honors from the University of Mississippi in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in integrated marketing communications. At Ole Miss, she was a member of Chi Omega fraternity, where she served in several leadership positions. She is a sales associate for Hemline in Birmingham.

Mounger is a 2012 honors graduate of Jackson Preparatory School and was graduated with honors from the University of Mississippi in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Order, where he served as marshal, and was vice president of Chi Epsilon Civil Engineering Honor Society. He is assistant estimator at Montgomery Martin Contractors in Memphis.

The couple will be married March 9 at Oxford-University United Methodist Church in Oxford, with a reception to follow at The Jefferson. They plan to make their home in Memphis.
