Miss Jones and Wagner to exchange wedding vows December 8 in Birmingham

Mr. and Mrs. Jason Christopher Jones of Trussville, Ala., announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Marie Jones, to Matthew Erik Wagner, formerly of Madison.

The bride-elect is the great-granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hobert Copeland and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Williamson, all of Trussville, and Jim Jones of Cullman, Ala., and the late Mary Jo Jones of Baton Rouge.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kyle Wagner of Madison.  He is the grandson of Marie McGrew of Madison and the late Dan B. McGrew, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Theodore E. Wagner of Baton Rouge.

Miss Jones is a graduate of Hewitt-Trussville High School and a 2014 graduate of Auburn University, with a business degree in marketing.  She was active in Zeta Tau Alpha and is now associated with Ferguson Enterprises in Birmingham. 

Wagner is a graduate of Madison Central High School and a 2011 graduate of Mississippi State University with a business degree in management of construction and land development.  He was active in Kappa Sigma and is a project manager for Automatic Fire Systems in Birmingham.

The couple will exchange  vows at Iron City in downtown Birmingham December 8.  After a wedding trip to Playa Mujeres, the couple will be at home in Trussville.
