Miss Massey and Thomas to exchange wedding vows July 5 at St. Richard

Mr. and Mrs. Steven Christopher Massey of Jackson, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jacquelyn Eve Massey, to Matthew Arba Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Arba Thomas of Madison.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edwin Stedman of Jackson and Mr. and Mrs. Gaines Roger Massey of Brandon.

Miss Massey is a 2014 graduate of St. Joseph Catholic School. She is a 2018 graduate of Mississippi State University where she was an active member of Kappa Delta Sorority, and served MSU as a Roadrunner, Gamma Chi and Orientation Leader. She received her bachelor’s degree in communication and is associated with Cadence Bank in Starkville.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Webster Dallas of Starkville and Mr. and Mrs. Arba Harold Thomas of The Villages, FL.

Thomas is a 2013 graduate of Madison Central High School. He is a 2017 honor graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in business management. At MSU, he was active in Kappa Sigma Fraternity where he served in a leadership position and traveled to Lesotho and Zimbabwe with the Reclaimed Project. He is currently serving as a member of the United States Air Force.

The couple will exchange vows July 5 in a family ceremony at St Richard Catholic Church.

The 12U Major team, Mississippi Angels, won the 2019 Triple Crown Slumpbuster Series in Omaha. There were 291 teams in the tourney and 65 in their division.
