Miss Riley and Strickland planning June 29 wedding

Mr. and Mrs. Sean Riley of Madison announce the engagement of their daughter, Victoria Ashlyn Riley, to Robert Hayden Strickland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sammy Strickland of Madison.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Shoemaker of Pelahatchie, Mr. and Mrs. Garland Wright of Brandon, and Mr. and Mrs. James Riley of Pensacola. 

Miss Riley is a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic School.  She received a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Mississippi State University, where she was a member of Tri Delta Sorority. She is currently associated with St. Dominic Hospital. This fall she will attend the master’s program in cardiovascular perfusion at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of William M. Meeks and the late Dot Meeks, and the late Sam and Mable Strickland, all of Yazoo City. 

Strickland was graduated from Jackson Preparatory School, where he was a member of the varsity baseball team. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Mississippi State University. Currently he is a software engineer at The Informatics Applications Group, Inc. in Charleston.

The couple will wed June 29, 2019, at 6 p.m. at The Chapel at Livingston. The Reverend Joseph Wheat of Highlands Presbyterian Church will officiate the double ring ceremony. Following the ceremony, a reception will take place at the Chapel.
