Miss Smith and Mounger planning June 2 wedding ceremony in Tupelo

Lucas Smith and Kristy Smith of Tupelo announce the engagement of their daughter, Taylor Mackenzie Smith, to Robert Gore Mounger, son of ​Mr. and Mrs. Bobby​ Mounger.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. ​and Mrs.​ Dudley ​W. Reeves, and Emily Moody, all of Columbus. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of ​Mr​.​ and Mrs.​ William D. Mounger​,​ Robert A. Carroll ​and the late Alice Carroll,​ all of Jackson.​
Miss Smith was graduated from Tupelo High School with honors in 2014. She attends Mississippi State University where she is seeking a bachelor’s degree in economics and is a member of Kappa Delta sorority. She will begin law school at the William H. Bowen School of Law ​in​ Little Rock, upon graduating from Mississippi State in May.
Mounger was graduated from Jackson Preparatory School with honors in 2014. He attends the University of Mississippi and is seeking a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the Patterson School of Accounting and will graduate with honors through membership in the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College. Mounger is a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity and former member of Ole Miss men’s tennis team
 He will begin working as an ​investment banking analyst for Stephens​, Inc.​ in Little Rock, upon graduating from the University of Mississippi in May.
The wedding will be June 2 in Tupelo.



Robert H. Watson will receive Mississippi College’s Award of Excellence at the university’s 2018 homecoming.

Activities include an October 26 awards banquet at Anderson Hall.
