Miss William and Bauer to exchange wedding vows May 19 in Clarksdale

Mr. and Mrs. Peter Fairley Williams III of Clarksdale announce the engagement of their daughter, Florence Bell Williams, to Evan Scott Bauer, son of Dr. and Mrs. Frederick Scott Bauer of Corinth.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Thomas Hand Jr. of Glendora, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Fairley Williams of Clarksdale.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Col. Jacob Lenier Bland of Corinth, formerly of Jackson, and the late Mrs. Bland. His paternal grandparents are Mrs. Frederick Page Bauer of Corinth, formerly of Mendenhall, and the late Mr. Bauer.
Miss Williams is a 2006 honor graduate of Lee Academy. She is a 2010 graduate of Millsaps College where she majored in accounting and served as president of Phi Mu sorority. She is also a 2011 graduate of the Else School of Business at Millsaps with a master’s in accountancy. She is a licensed CPA with the Horne, LLP accounting firm of Ridgeland and is a manager in Healthcare Assurance.
Bauer is a 2007 honor graduate of Corinth High School. He attended Millsaps College where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and is a 2013 graduate of Mississippi College where he majored in kinesiology. He is a second-year student in physical therapy assisting at Hinds Community College.
The celebration and blessing of the marriage will be May 19 at 6 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Clarksdale.


Robert H. Watson will receive Mississippi College’s Award of Excellence at the university’s 2018 homecoming.

Activities include an October 26 awards banquet at Anderson Hall.
