Rachel Webb, Joshua Hinton planning June 8 wedding at Southern Oaks Plantation

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Ray Webb of Coats, N.C. announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Elizabeth Webb, to Joshua Wellford Hinton, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Homer Hinton Jr. of Madison.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Sue Stamey Sanford and the late Joe Lyndall Sanford of Clinton, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Ray Webb of Benson, N.C.

Miss Webb is a 2008 graduate of Northwest Rankin High School and a 2012 graduate of Mississippi University for Women, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is associated with St. Dominic's hospital in cardiovascular recovery.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Evelyn McLaurin Hinton and the late James Homer Hinton of Madison, the late Peggy Crews Wellford of Jackson and the late Lewis Donelson Wellford of Memphis.

Hinton is a 2007 graduate of Madison Central High school and a 2011 graduate of the University of Mississippi with a bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing. At Ole Miss, he was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. Hinton is an account manager for C.H. Robinson in Ridgeland.

The couple will exchange vows the evening of June 8 in New Orleans at Southern Oaks Plantation.


The University of Mississippi recently released the Fall 2018 Dean’s List. Students must earn a semester GPA of 3.50 to 3.74 to be listed on the Dean’s List.
