Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Elza Turner of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Rose Ellington Turner to Sander Paul Ohnstad, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Alan Ohnstad of Kingwood, Texas.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Sturtevant and the late Robert Childress Jones Sr., all of Jackson, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Ellington Turner of Lucedale.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. Clayton Marvin Ohnstad and the late Mr. Ohnstad of Edmonds, Wash. and Mrs. Robert Fallis Van Dyk and the late Dr. Van Dyk of Tacoma.
Miss Turner is a 2012 graduate of The Veritas School and was graduated in 2016 from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in integrated marketing and communications. At Ole Miss she was a member of Chi Omega fraternity and was named to “Who’s Who in American Universities and Colleges.” She is on staff as a member of the youth ministry department at First Presbyterian Church, Jackson.
Ohnstad is a 2013 graduate of Westminster Academy in Memphis. He was graduated magna cum laude from Mississippi State University in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He is associated with Ergon Inc. as an engineer at the Vicksburg Refinery.
The couple will exchange vows March 21 at First Presbyterian Church followed by a reception at The South.
After the wedding the couple will be at home in Jackson.
