Dehmer, Fields wed April 22 in Raymond

Sydney Elizabeth Dehmer and David McCauley Fields were married April 22 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Raymond. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Michael O’Brien.

The bride is the daughter of Joseph Theodore Dehmer III and the late Ashleigh Arnold Dehmer. The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. John Foster Fields of Tiptonville, Tenn., and Lee McCauley Fields of Meridian.

On the eve of the wedding, the bridegroom’s parents honored the couple with a lakefront dining experience on the grounds of Livingston Township. The bride’s rehearsal dinner dress was her mother’s wedding dress, restyled.

The following afternoon, she was escorted down the aisle by her father. Music was provided by Jackson Hays Fields, guitarist, brother of the bridegroom. Dara Hart Newman was the soloist. Program attendants were Hannah Ashleigh Arnold and Rimes Whittington Dehmer. Ushers were Samuel Steele Arnold, Joseph Nash Dehmer and Ridley Scott Dehmer, cousins of the bride.

Lectors were Frank Steele Arnold III, Joseph Steele Dehmer and Lindsay Hines Dehmer.


Matron of honor was Taylor Gex Walhood of Oxford. Bridesmaids were Katherine Cox Dehmer and Kristen McNair Strickland, both of Madison; Sarah Dayton Gamble of Vicksburg; Ashley Lauren Haltom of Ridgeland; Madeline Clare Magee of Memphis; Mailee Fields Peterson of Brandon; Lucy Tucker Knight Roberts of Hattiesburg; Ashton Elizabeth Serff and Charlotte Rimes Serff of Milton, Ga; Taylor Shaffett Armstrong of Clarksdale; and Abigail Grace Spurlin of Birmingham.

The bridegroom’s father was best man. Groomsmen were Christopher Tate Antici of Nashville; Christopher Keith Coulter and Richard Vaughan Waters, both of Hattiesburg; Joseph Steele Dehmer of Madison; Jackson Hays Fields of Asheville; Andrew Robinson Gowdey of Memphis; Lee Stanley Hays of Oxford; Richard Andrew Moffett and Joshua Lloyd Waters, both of Meridian; Matthew Ryan Peterson of Brandon; Patrick Lee Pittman of Oxford; Lane Nicholas Rush of New Orleans; and Phillip Anthony Sandifer of Flowood.

A reception was held at County Seat at Livingston Township. Music was presented by “Mo Money.”

Following a wedding trip to Anguilla, where they stayed at Malliouhana, the couple is at home in Oxford.
