Mimi and her mom and I pulled out of Ridgeland headed towards Greenville, S.C. We were like a traveling circus with our trailer full of decorations, props, tools and bags packed for some “work” days, rehearsal dinner clothes and mother and father of the bride clothes. Mia and Cody got hitched the weekend of the 18th of October.

Now in October there is a change in the air. We have finally reached the temperatures that make things change in our yard and in our spirits. The air is crisp because the humidity is lower, and it seems like there’s less haze in the sky which always leads to that October sunburn.

I was finishing my junior year at Mississippi State and my self-proclaimed deadline to save up enough money to go to India for three months.

I had an interesting morning recently. Mayor McGee of Ridgeland asked me a while back if I could help him rehab some very old blueberry plants that he and Jane have access to. They were picking a heck of a lot of berries and giving them away to friends and family and eating them.
